Last night saw a fashion party take place the world over. New York may happen to have the Fashion Week this week, but it didn’t stop London, Paris and eleven other participating capital cities from joining in on the action. Called Fashion’s Night Out, it was a Vogue initiative to partner with designers, department stores and high-street chains to draw attention to the fashion industry and get people shopping again, admist the doom and gloom of the recession. Celebrities, designers and fashion insiders mixed with the public – some got into the spirit of things big time with designers Henry Holland and Marios Schwab hopping on the tills at Browns boutique in London and the Olsen twins bartending at the Bergdorf Goodman soiree in New York.
Below are some of the stylish attendees at the Vogue/Burberry party which kicked off the proceedings in London:
The ever ageless Claudia Schiffer looks stylish in a leopard print dress and ankle boots; Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal remind us why they’re called the boundary-pushers when it comes to fashion, rocking up in mini-minis, platform heels and just-out-of-bed-hair.
Two models who show us how it’s really done: Natalia Vodianova and Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley keep things simple and chic in black paired with shades of grey. Both pairs of shoes are to-die-for too! (Pssst: If you love the look of Rosie’s lacey Louboutins, you might like these Louboutin lace boots here.)
Pixie Geldof brought herself and her new hair to the party; while model Erin O’Connor played around with colour (including this season’s hot shade – violet) with fantastic results!
