Today is a very sad day in any fashion lover’s world – Luella Bartley has confirmed that her Luella label has ceased trading.
Known for her playful, girly designs in bold colours and fun prints (and also her amaaaaazing collection of handbags and accessories), Luella has seemingly gone from strength-to-strength lately, winning the coveted British Designer of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards last year and her collections have gained a cult-like status among celebrities such as Alexa Chung and Kate Moss as well as being listed as a perennial favourite by many a fashionista.
But obviously the recession has taken it’s toll, and it’s backers have “taken the decision not to invest further in its relationship with Luella Bartley Limited.” Please somebody save Luella!
